There was a whirlwind of racially (not racist, but racial) inspired commentary I had lined up for this. But sadly, I am going to keep calm. I was however; very surprised that in a mostly wealth, Caucasian, well-mannered town there would not be these odd racist totems on people’s front yards! Not sure why I was insulted by this, but for a moment, I was. Then I remembered what I was looking at. This is a portrayal of a young down-and-out Negro boy with exaggerated stereotypical features. If you think about the reverse, a down-and-out cracker with exaggerated stereotypical feature, that would be comical too.

I was not expecting to find these guys here but sure enough there were tons.

Another adventure of mine was being a professional photographer for the New Jersey Exxxotica Porn Convention in 2010 and 2011. There are a lot of pictures from those two crazy weekends, which I will eventually share. I could go on and on about consumerism, perversion, instant gratification; but I am not going too. Do I think that this is wrong? No. I think it is necessary. In this world with murders, rapists, psychos; imagine how many more we would have if people didn’t have an escape that made them feel good. Living in New Jersey requires you to visit some pretty “Weird” places. The Paulinskill Viaduct is one such place. It is hard to capture this immense structure, let alone all the amazing graffiti that is scattered all over this abandoned bridge. There was something that stood out at me about this random pile of sticks and a very ominous surrealistic skull. Oh and if the title offends you… pick up a dictionary. Copyright 2012

In August of 2009, I had the privilege of traveling to South Africa. On that trip, I saw many great sites, some of which I captured in pictures (more to come). I have traveled many places, but Africa is beyond special to me. This picture is of the very tip of Cape Point, SA. High winds mixed with salty air made this a truly difficult and breath taking shot.
